Brainspotting is a neuro-experiential process. It uses eye position and careful attunement to help the brain and body process what talk alone may not reach.
People come to this work with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, feeling stuck, or a pattern that keeps repeating. You do not need to arrive with the right words. The process can make room for what is hard to explain.
In Marie’s practice, Brainspotting is one tool among several. It may be useful when you want:
A process that can go where the body is holding the story. Trauma is not only a memory. It can live in the nervous system.
A pace that stays with you. The work is meant to feel supported. Marie follows your system rather than forcing a script.
Room for non-verbal processing. This can help when talking about the pain is difficult, including with children and teens when sand tray is part of the session.
A frame that belongs to you. The starting point is what you bring that day, not a one-size protocol.
Brainspotting is not the only modality Marie uses. You do not need to know whether you need Brainspotting before you begin. A free discovery session is a simple way to talk about what you are carrying and whether this work feels like a fit.
